Hello all,
Been the prowd owner of my Firebolt 9 for the past four years, I can honestly say it has been the best bike I have owned. Being in North Wales (Llanrug) I have used it daily to and from work and it has never let me down.
The bolt is an aquired taste and is not everyones cup o tea,
It is fitted with the race ecu k&N filter and had the buell race exhaust, which has now been changed to a Jardine.
I am within two minds now as to sell it or keep it, Problem I have is that I use it Daily and with the brittish weather it is going to rot away, The bike deserves better than that.
You may see it for sale on under the selling tab.
Wil.

Needs some work now though, After finishing work it was sat outside in all weather for four years, Engine paint starting to flake etc, Recommend a good paint for DIY as I cannot afford a garage to do the work.

Hello Restone, Sounds good, Not many of us about, Seen one cyclone owner on Anglesey and know of one in Caernarfon, or works at Caernarfon.

Nice, I was considering swapping my bolt for a Cyclone that is for sale at dragon motorcycles, Dont know which is the better bike though The Cyclone is a fair few years older. One think about my firebolt is it great around the Llanberis twisties, Twice a day I do that trip.

Tubers are the future mate, ;) but you would be severely chastised on here if you left a cyclone out in the welsh winter :ill: Seriously though tubers are much easier to work on ad are arguably more reliable but do require a bit spending on them to get them sorted. Don't know owt about the one in dragon but will have to have a look.
There's no such thing as a buell that won't do the llanberis twisties well 8-)

Much as I like my Cyclone, I'd be tempted to go for a X1. Their steering geometry is 'snappier' and require a bit less bullying in the twisties.
I very often lurk around 'Beris on a bike too 8-) lOl

Bike at dragon I think is a 1998 black M2 cyclone, He took it in this year as part ex, I think the asking price is around the £2800 or £2900.
Looks clean though.

Make sure it's got a recall shock fitted. If it hasn't, and the shock has a long neck towards the rear mount, then you could use that to negotiate the price ;)
I also think, the M2 forks are better kit than the USD ones of that period - just my opinion like :)

Wil, just noticed where you live. Don't suppose you know someone called Sue from just outside your village? Dunno what her surname is now, but she owns the Joe Brown climbing shops in your area.
