Hi,

My name is Mike and I ride an 1125R, or I would if it wasn't still in a workshop after some SMIDSY drove into the side of me! It's a real shame 'cos this weather is just so good for blasting about, or even just going to and from work on the bike! Hopefully it will be back next week but Riders in Bristol had to get a parts in from the US, which is where the problems started. With any luck I'll be able to go to Weston Bike Night when it starts up again on May 5th.

Ride safe!

Mike

Did they give you any timetable for the parts? My new exhaust and stator replacement came in within a week to the same place.

Perhaps I was lucky.

Where in Somerset are you?

I am currently waiting for my bike back, but used a claims company as my Ins co (Hastings Direct) was useless.

Gave me another bike to play on within 24hrs... :yup:

Cheers Guys,

I'm with MCE and as soon as my daughter needed her car they got me another through the 3rd party's insurers - better than nothing but not a bike! Look at all the great biking weather I'm missing!

Hopefully I'll have my bike back next week - the workshop had done all the originally identified work and was about to call me to collect it, when they found that the inner hanger that holds the belt tensioner was slightly bent, which was pulling the belt off the back wheel! Not a part that any H-D dealer had in the UK, so it had to be ordered in. Why it took so long, I don't know - I'd have expected them to have FedEXed it over! My guy is so pissed off about it, as he's already paid out for all the other parts and can't recoup his costs until I collect the bike from him.

I live in Axbridge

Still waiting for parts! Workshop has been told that hey should be in Belgium (H-D Europe) on Monday, so I doubt I'll have my beloved 1125R back before the end of the month. H-D obviously apply the same zeal to applying modern technology to their Stock Control and Despatch operations as they do to their bikes - F**k all!!

Remarkably, I got my bike back on Tuesday, 24 hrs after the parts were shipped from Belgium. Thanks to Nigel Clegg at Westside Motors in Banwell.

Incredibly, H-D Europe have moved their entire warehousing operation and everything is still in shipping containers - they reckon that there will be a 6 month wait for some parts! Guess I was one of the lucky ones then

Hi, i've just bought a 1125R and live in Exeter. I haven't ridden it much yet though. What night is the usual meet for a Westbay?
might try and pop down sometime too.
Cheers!
