It`s for a 1977 . must be one with a speedo drive as i want it for my tt I think up to 1980 fit before they anodised the rims.

nice...a TT.... My XT is a 1977 too. OK I'll look for a non gold rim front ( the best type )

So there an interesting back story to this that I only heard this morning.....Mr Ali ( it is a real fella) contacted me to confirm Maz had carried out the work and in October he was stopped by the police for no front indicators ( due to removing the mirrors to use bar end mirrors)......oh...and also no MOT .....
The bike was impounded and this was bad timing as Mr Ali was travelling the next day to work overseas for two months....he was unable to release the bike as was a relation who tried and consequently the bike went to a police auction. It was bought and sold a couple of times ending up with me.
And all for the sake of a pair of front indicators.

I've always had a soft spot for these. They were a bloody quick bike when they first came out. I loved the little window in the cam cover to show you'd eased them over TDC before giving them a boot - a bit like starting a Velo

yeah...I thought it was harsh but I guess no MOT is a valid reason for impounding.....just bad timing for the fella I guess.....normally you would sort these things out but if you're out of the country.....not much to be done.
Needless to say I have fitted front indicators ( I got it and none fitted still!!!), it has MOT and is taxed...

Had one for about a month, I moved it on because never had the knack of starting the damn thing. lot's of embarrassing pub car park failures to start (always with an audience). Sold it to a friend half my size, who started it first kick every time. Worked on a friend's SR 500, couldn't start that either.
