The moggy was an optional extra, colour co-ordinated to match the bike. Lol.

Re the switchgear Adam, the wiring hasn't been run through the bars so I've adjusted the clamps and twisted the switches up slightly as you've suggested. It's a 95% success. ;)

I fear I didn't explain myself particularly well. If you remove the switchgear, you'll find it has a locating lug that fits into a small hole on the bars, this has nothing to do with the wiring. Some people just cut the lug off (a proper bodge  ) to rotate the switch gear. If you drill a second hole for the locating lug to fit into, then you can rotate the switch to where you like :yup:

So, Cooler, where are you. I'm in Newby and I have the Black 1200 sport that you'll have seen trundling round. I'm currently between Buells but once the financial war of attrition has been one I may well invest again.

With you Adam, I must have just twisted the switchgear round so it went from one side of the hole to the other, it seems to be clamped firmly around the bars at any rate but thanks for the clarification.

Iwoo9, I'm in Cayton, the other side of town. Black 1200 Sport? Buell or Guzzi?? I have a Black 1200 Sport Guzzi but its currently having gearbox woes attended to over at Moto Strada in Shipley. I have to say I bought the Firebolt on a bit of a whim, but I like it so I might keep it for a while. I don't want to sound like a clever arse and I'm certainly not rich but I do change bikes quite often, I've lost count of the number of different road going bikes I've owned over the last 40 years but it will be in excess of 50. Plus quite a few track and motocross machines.
