Bought it this afternoon and it's all mine now for real. :sun:

Still a little nervous on it and getting a feel for things yet so going a little pedestrian presently but when my confidence builds I'm sure my riding will become a little more fluid and natural. :|

I thought the motorway would help me get a little speed up but alas no. It was chock-a-block as the rubber necking motorists all wanted to slow down and oggle a couple of crashed cars on the hard shoulder of the M32. Nothing holding up the traffic, just annoying car drivers. Result was 15mph average on what should have been the first bit of decent riding. :headbang:

Oh well. Will try again tomorrow :-)

One of the cars was red I was stuck in the traffic as well. Couldn't be bothered to filter today too tired.

Weeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! 8-)

Just got home from a day playing on the roads with the new bike. Few scary moments on slippery roads and an expectation the rear brake is for more than show but otherwise what a fun time!

Whizzed over to Riders in Bristol to pick up a DataTag kit. There were scary big old men with beards, a leather fetish thing and many HD bikes around so paid up and left quickly alongside a big chrome thing being ridden with a jack russell sharing the riders seat. It was complete with helmet and goggles! No word of a lie. It was just sat there looking smug!

Anyway, pottered around the traffic and motorways for a bit of a run. Getting to understand which gear goes with which speeds at which revs. Changed the clutch lever setting to be less stiff and, therefore, more comfortable which helped me a great deal.

The engine occasionally sounds unusual to me with what I can only describe as scraping. All part of the character I guess and will get used to it along with those fans that kick in after you've turned the bike off. Very Hallow'en!

Few looks of wonder at the shiny new bike with the 10 plate which deflated the ego a little! LOL!

Overall, not disappointed yet. Wouldn't mind taking it for a better run someplace but still not willing to take it up past 65-70 yet. 2 days in so still a little nervous. Not yet part of me so we still have to bond a bit more! :-)
