Guys,

A bit cheeky and doubtful it will work but what the hell, might as well give it a shot.

I have a 2007 XB12Ss and I am taking the Mrs to Bath (not for a bath  ) on Friday Morning for a couple of days.

Wondered if anyone had a Ventura rack system for an XB12Ss that I could borrow for the weekend to make the journey a little bit easier?

Don't really wont to buy one as they are not cheap and this is the first bike trip the Mrs has been on so not sure if she'll do it again.

Obviously beers would be purchased as a thankyou :)

Regards
Neil

Not a straight answer but, if you can't find a rack, you could stick what you want to take in a box and mail it to your hotel. If it is bulky but not heavy, it probably won't cost that much.

Absolutely, people on here are always willing to help out, and indeed have helped me out several times. I'm not questioning the willingness of folk to help, I'm just thinking of the probability of someone reasonably local to you actually possessing the aforementioned item, and not needing it at the same time you do :P

Best of luck :yup:

I have a Triumph with luggage you could borrow. I'm sure the RAC Will deliver both the bike and the luggage to your chosen destination thus allowing you to ride the Buell unemcumbered - does that help at all?

What was the outcome with the Triumph Roz?

Neil
You could always hire a Transit van and stick the bike in that till you get there. If your young lady takes a credit card to Bath you'll need something like that to get all her goodies home

I got a replacement bike eventually. She and I have done approx 2k miles since her delivery and so far they've been trouble free. We've kinda bonded, it's a much easier machine to live with, for all the bits in between rides. Still not as ovary thumping as the Buell though.
I get off and think "yeah, I like that bike". With the Buell I used to get off and want to scream "I f*ckin love that bike".

 Maybe that's why I couldn't park it, I was too buzzed up to think straight!

In a nutshell Roz

When I get off the Duc I think, 'bloody Hell I enjoyed that'. When I get off any Buell - Tuber, Fueller, Waterbucket, I think, 'fek me that was briiliant' 8-)

When I get off the X1, I wonder how far it is to my intended destination.

I haven't been recovered, yet, but there's been a few times that I've had to stop and contemplate my navel by the side of the road for a few minutes.
