Hi, I'm looking for a rear belt tensioner to fit my 2000 M2 Cyclone, one needing a repair would do, as long as It's serviceable, thanks Geoff.

Tubers do not have belt tensioners......unless it belongs to

I usally go out two up so the belt is set for that weight, but when I go out solo the belt is to slack, SOZ

You don't need a tensioner, just faith.
It's not a matter of one-up or two-up, you could still compress the suspension to the point of maximum tightness if you ride through a dip or land hard off a hump-back so the deciding factor is not to have it too tight regardless. This will make it seem too slack when unladen, but that is how it's meant to be.
With your later cast swingarm, you should be able to get the belt to easily touch top and bottom of the arm simultaneously (behind the brake master cylinder) when it's on its stand.

I seem to remember reading in the old Battle2win magazine about the factory setting a belt as slack as they possibly could. They then sent a test rider out to wheelie, jump, thrash the bike to death. The belt didn't slip on the pulleys and was absolutely fine

Last time out at the Pod I took up a wee bit of slack, cos it did feel like it jumped but I had been messing with the ride height ie adjusting the shock lenght, too low and the tyre fouls the oil tank when giving it the bifters, I'm also checking the teeth after every run just in case, spare belt in the van too
