H,i thanks but I don't think it will fit. The M2 one is a plastic ugly looking thing, very mid 90's. I want to keep my standard one and get another one to chop it up and tidy up the back end so condition is not an issue.

Cheers Ian.

Do you have a skinny or lardy m2 :?:

If it's a skinny, I guess you are referring to the plastic lump on the back of this:-

Seems a shame to chop one up, a lot of parts for these bikes are NLA, why not take it off and just make a bracket/hanger or whatever out of ally, then refit the original when you punt it on

Not any more. I used to have one on my old M2. replaced it with a tail tidy, and I guess the original went with the bike when I sold it. Looked much better without it :P

I thought about making something out of ali and may still do that, but just wanted to see if I could get a plastic one and chop cos I'm lazy...... :D

Has anybody ever made a bracket up from scratch, any pointers or ideas would be welcomed.

I was a bit unsure about how strong the bonding was on the plastic under the seat where the light fits, didn't want to put too much pressure on it hanging plate and indicators off it in case it snapped off.

Cheers

The bonding is crap, mine fell off once. After that I bolted it through the bolt holes that hold the tailpiece in place. This is also where you bolt up a tail tidy.
