Want new if possible or very good condition front forks for X1.

Worth trying St Johns in the US. They were selling them really cheap (about £250 a pair) but I would have thought they're all gone now. I have a set of White Power forks from my S1W which would give you a good firm ride but I'd try to get the original Showas for the X1 if I was you.

There pitted and scrached :maz: has bike totally stripped ready for rebuild. St John's sold out so thought someone might have bought some from them and be kind enough to sell them instead of storing them till the sun shines 8-)
