Anyone got the front (larger of the two) bolt for the Nissin rear brake on M2 and others. Tried to remove mine and it has sheared off in the casting |

Well, my slider pin broke tonight when changing the pads. The previous owner, not content with painting the engine, swinging arm and anything else he could reach with a brush, decided to omit the rubber boot, which ended up with the pin rusting inside the bracket and shearing off when I tried to remove it... Luckily I was able to stick it on the milling attachment and use a drill just big enough to break through the wall of the pin...  ...then I was able to collapse it an pull it out with a pair of thin nosed pliers... H0106.F PIN BOLT, CALIPER, REAR About a fiver from Black Bear... The rubber boot isn't listed, so I am hoping it comes with the pin, if not I will be visiting Fowlers to see if there is a similar boot listed for a Yamaha/Honda/Suzuki/Kawasaki with a Nissin single piston rear caliper... |

Cheers for info Nick, had to drill mine out and surprised how light the metal was, probably designed so it shears easily when seized! |

Even better, the boot is listed as an individual part on the XBs... H0053.T BOOT, CALIPER PIN, FRONT BRAKE About £2 from Black Bear... Note to oneself: Order H0053.T and H0106.F (and 3 x H0055.9 - boot on the master cylinder) on Monday |

IIRC, the pins are the same as the VTR. Probolt do them in all kinds of exotic materials, and they keep the screw on covers
