I just don't tell anyone...If they can't hear them it's not a problem, if they can it's their problem...I'll deny everything!!!

I've just done all my paperwork and got my referees sorted to join my local rifle club.
My brother in law has just got his RFD status sorted too, so I'll be getting him to assist in everything going smoothly.

But I still like air rifles, it's just bizarre how a new .22 rimmie can be cheaper than an air rifle???!!!

You need to move to the Irish Republic. My dad has a long history of schizophrenia with several periods of hospitalisation, yet now he lives in Cork he has a licence and a bolt action rifle of some sort (I've never seen it) and a Mini 14 carbine!

Is this worth cleaning up ? A mates dad died and we found it in his shed along with ammo boxes full of bullets , grenades , samurai swords , knives and other guns.

Damn definitely one for the molasses treatment :D

I don't know enough about webley pistols, but there are some very avid collectors.
As bad as the rust is it looks like it's all there underneath. I think from size, the all over rust and simple shape it's early-ish. later ones used lots of ali.

I'd love to take it off your hands and see if there's anything left when the rust's removed. Never one to back away from a challenge.

I have seen pics of some scary looking barn finds, that have been restored into shooters.

Can you email me a pic and I'll see if I can get an expert to identify it further?
It's ok I managed a screen grab
Anything else interesting in there?

Premier...possibly a Mk1 :D

Be nice to get the rust off and find out.
The Webley pistols have had a variety of different paint finishes over the years, instead of blueing, might have preserved some of the details.

So what else was in there Ferris?

I posted the pic on airgunBBS' Collectors corner and got a couple of confirmations of premier mk1.
The mk1 had a trigger adjusting screw through the trigger guard as this poor rusty example seems to have.

All the knives and swords were taken by a collector, the grenades and bullets went to the police station because they were live , they shit their selves when he walked in (the shed was right behind the police station ) . He took everything else down south apart from one other gun. Another mate has that , I'll get a photo of it next time I see him and post it up.
