Hi guys!

The drive belt on my XB12S 2005 just snapped this evening, after only 19400miles....
Let me know if you have a spare for sale please.

Cheers

Quite a respectable innings I would say...

Riders of Bristol will give you 13% discount on a new belt.

Thanks for the tip.
Warrs in London are asking £218. May end up on eBay...

Well Riders are cheaper than that.

If you get a secondhand one, you may be replacing it again shortly...

If you want to replace at lowest possible cost - buy in U.S. - original HD product for around US$150 - if you know anyone going on holiday ( although some HD dealers can be tricky with this !) or better still someone living there - the belt packs as small as a souvenir item ! :sun: :sun:

Just a thought .....................as I just replaced mine last month after 14K - my son conveniently was visiting U.S. - so mail ordered the belt via his friend in TX. :yup:

Hope this helps

Thanks for the advice guys.
Ended up buying a brand new of eBay from a harley parts seller based in the US. Spent £160 including shipping so still less than the harley dealership in London.
And bought a free spirit belt tensioner on top of it, hoping this will help the new one to last longer.

One word of warning - be prepared to be hit with VAT and also admin charges and customs duty upon arrival ......all to be paid to courier before they deliver :headbang: hope you are lucky :sun:

I find With our discount, it's no more than buying for the states and you don't have to wait 3 weeks for Parcel Force to do their magic...

Just paid £31 custom fee... Total is now £191, so still less to than warr in London (£218) but not by much, therefore you can't win!
At least it only took 4 days to be delivered.

Riders are less than 200, but 4 days from the States is good. When I have ordered from St Paul HD things have taken three weeks door to door, the culprit being Parcelforce...
