I'm well aware of the difference in the engines, that is why when I listed it on eBay I stated that it had a thunderstorm 2 engine whith uprated oil pump. You said that my bike was a later 08 model bike not a 2007 with 08 reg, all I was commenting on was that the sticker on frame stated a build date of August 2007. So mine too was a late reg bike.

IIRC the 10th digit of the VIN is the Model Year - 8 for 2008, 7 for 2007 etc


That's the best way to dermine which MY your bike is.
