Hi All,

Looks like I am off to Africa in the Summer with my company and if it goes well I may be out there for an indefinite period. So unfortunately I am going to have let all my bikes go :( So I have a 2009 Black 1125CR on a 59 reg with approx 2100 miles which I have advertised for £5250 however I am well aware that you know how much they were going for so will be willing to let it go for £4900. On this site I doubt I have to give you all the details of what the 1125 CR is? PM me if you need any further info.

After the aggro with my neighbour over how noisy it is, I was thinking of px'ing mine for a Street Triple. Mine is a Nov 09 on a 59 plate, done 780 miles with Remus and high bar conversion. The best offer I got on it was £3500 !!!!!!!!!
Needless to say, I'm keeping it and sod the neighbour !!

Unfortunately the early bad press of the 1125R set the tone ...

The CR is, I think, generally accepted as being better than the early R's but it is still not perfect.
It hates really cold weather and is 'fluffy' at low revs.

....if you mean the 1125, just take a look at the pictures (where is the "feck that is an ugly motorcycle" emoticon when it's needed?) If you mean the 1150 then I don't know.....

I think you'll find that's the rider. Other than a allergic reaction to the salt all over the can, my 1125R was fine in the cold.

Bike now sold!! It went for slightly more than I paid for it and to be honest he got a bargain as this was without doubt one of the best bikes I ever had the pleasure of riding and it will be sorely missed.

For all you nay sayers I think you underestimate the demand for these bikes as I have only had it advertised for 3 days and two people viewed and they both wanted it. The highest bidder won.

When I get back into the country in a couple of years time I will be looking for a Buell preferably a 1125 CR or R. They'll be rare by then I suppose!

Mick

Glad to hear you got what you wanted for it mate.
It's not as if you bought it to sell it you had to sell it.
Can I ask what you got for it?
P.M. me if you want.

Yes, Would be very interested to hear what you got for it, bearing in mind the pitiful px quotes that I have been getting for mine!

Ahh PX. The problem with PX is that Parker currently list these bikes around £3500 so no dealer will PX for anything more than this. Apparently? Go private everytime if you have warranty remaining as you will get a better deal.

tis very rare to get a good part ex price for anything not just Buells ;) £3500 part ex when a lot of people paid as low as £4700 brand new isn't that bad a price ;)
Tis good to see dealers now offering second hand ones at more than i paid brand new though as i think the market for them as stabilised again.
