Hmmm, I think they may be 2009 headers cos they only have one lambda sensor boss...

correct pash. I have just posted on neil's mufler thread asking is it not 2009 as my 2010 has different tail pipe. then I read this lambda confirms what I thought.

Both pipe and muffler are from a 2010 SCG......the headers do have a front lambda boss, you just cant see it in the pix.

How do I know this ?.......cos I fitted them and then took them off again to fit the US headers and muffler, along with an EBR ECM.

£300 to have them coated!
What are they coated in gold?
My headers were £100 plus the VAT to have them coated.

Dear All

Have many people had their Buell headers coated?

I have had mine done by my local dealer as a warrantee job after complaining that the finish went crap on my way out of the showroom (On my 08 XT)

I recently got a new pair done by Cam Coat ... but they have not lasted well

Likely to be a redo - but warrantee is up very soon too

comments please (useful ones thanks)

Yeah the finish didn't last very well on my bike.
Had a few chips and they went discoloured after about 18 Months.
I would still have them done again though and I am thinking of getting my CR done although the rear header looks a bugger to remove.
