It is time to part with my 2001 M2
I have owned this bike for 22 (almost 23) years and I am the third owner. It was a demo bike to start with then bought by someone who only kept it for six months. It had 1900 miles on the clock when I acquired it and after 23 years I find it a bit too heavy for my liking now.
The bike has extensive service history, mostly done by myself with a few visits to Maz at the Emporium.
It has 46970 miles on the clock which actually equates to 40300 miles as I changed to full US gearing in 2004 at 5300 without correcting the speedo.
It still runs like a dream and is as smooth a motor as it ever was. First gear dogs are worn, a common fault, but it is easy to ride round this.
The petrol tank has been lined inside as I had the usual problem of paint bubbling. It has been resprayed and lacquered but still not perfect.
A new battery was fitted in September with a two year warranty.
Upgrades include AST rear shock(serviced in 2021), engine front bracket, the usual V&H exhaust(with stainless header pipe), K&N air filter, upgraded spark plug leads, Maz grease nipple mod, oil pump gear drive, Corbin seat, usb socket, ventura luggage rack with interchangeable sissy bar, billet footpegs.
I have a multitude of spares for it including a pair of forks, original rear shock, original footpegs, front disc, spare pulleys, mirrors, indicators, front isolator, voltage regulator, brake pads, another V&H exhaust, original exhaust, front mudguard. There may be other bits I've forgotten about
Looking for £3200 with spares included
