Having been SORN'd for the past 3 years (I have a neck problem which has ended my 50 years of riding motorcycles) I am offering my superb Millennium special edition based X1 for sale. Number 070 of 800.
Modifications include a genuine Buell race ECU, S3 Thunderbolt fuel tank, reworked seat, Force Motor Products "Racewinder" based carbon fiber air cleaner, reinforced (an extra couple of layers on the inside to make it stiffer and stronger) carbon fiber rear wheel hugger, Buell Blue Streak paint job, Scorpion stainless steel exhaust muffler, polished rear wheel pulley and gear and brake levers and side cases and swinging arm. Special alloy foot pegs as were standard on the Millennium X1.
Runs flawlessly. Rarely taken much above 3500rpm and probably never over 4500rpm. One mechanically minded owner from new and used mostly for pottering about the Cotswolds and long distance touring into Italy, Spain and France. 17284 miles. Available with or without V2 Harley reg V2HLY. Slight scuffing on the silver ceramic coated stainless steel exhaust headers (pictured) from a very low speed off about 10 years ago.
Spares. Brand new rear brake lever. As new standard ECU (changed for Race ECU shortly after purchase in 2000). As new speedometer and front and rear drive pulleys (my first X1 was a 1999 Viper which I got the dealer to switch over to USA gearing from new). New standard exhaust muffler. Original X1 fuel tank and side pods and fittings. And "Unobtainium" almost as new Millennium fuel tank cover. Two sets of custom made (by me) Ace handlebars. One (pictured on the bike about 7 years ago) which moves the grips a couple of inches forwards and slightly lower and another which does that a little bit more.
I am in no hurry to sell and dont need the money so to speak and the bike will not be going cheap. Please PM or call me if interested.
