Looks like it has got chrome pushrod tubes so it isn't a 2001 model ;) ............ A lot of X1's also get referred to as S1's as that is probably what it says on the V5 unless the original owner bothered sending it back to have it corrected .

My X1 is listed on the logbook as an S1 it's a 2000 model and has chrome pushrods tubes but I was under the impression that all the X1s were chrome

2001 model year had all black engines including pushrod tubes ;)
2002 went to half black half grey engines ;)

My 2002 has grey engine, black heads and black pushrod tubes. I may get them powdercoated green so they look like cucumbers.

Aye Findlay, the bike is mine. It was registered in 2001 but may well be a 2000 production model. My first X1 I sourced the upgrades from Maz 5 or 6 years ago then sold the bike to Ian (Grease Monkey)
