Both S1w and Suzuki look great. Amazing how much the old trail bikes go for these days. Good luck with the sale, I hope it goes to someone that truly appreciates it and knows its worth. |

Lovely looking S1, but the TS caught my eye too. I had one of those when I was a Yoof, one of the best balanced dirt bikes I ever had. I could wheelie it forever! I had a monoshock DT250 after that, but I could never wheelie it as good as the TS. The 70's dirt bikes where the nicest looking bikes ever IMO. Especially the twin shock ones. DT 400's, Xt 500's, XL Hondas etc. ![]() I'd give up a kidney for a twin shock Maico crosser now. But it would probably kill be! (The crosser not the lack of a kidney!) ![]() |

Some of the rarer 70's trail and trials bikes are fetching good money, but they tend to be rarer ones like Miller Hondas and Majesty TY Yams. The Bultaco Matador bikes are going for about £3k. The Yam TY trials that I got cost me £550, but I've had to put big end, mains, seals and a rebore/piston, into it. Recently sent my spare TY motor off to be machined for a stroker, big bore kit (210cc) ![]() ![]() |
