I bought that sweet machine new in 1998 and it was a good'un. On DG20 dyno it made 90.3 horses on the same day I saw a S1W make just 80 HP. A chap called Richard who was spannering there explained to me that some machines just come off the production line with a fortunate mix of parts that work together well. I can confirm it flies because I cleared a roundabout in one leap outside Albert in France one wine fuelled night and overtook my mates Thunderbird in mid air flying over the humpback bridge just down the road from Popham airfield. I wish I could buy it back but I do not think I can afford what it is worth

Ah but Does Burt Munro's old helmet go with the bike? Shame to see that bike go it's a cracker and has so much character. (sell the Harley  )
