1995 Mercedes C220 Elegance, silver. 107k. Taxed until end of month, tested to April.
Three spare wheels, spare starter motor, spare front bumper, few odds and sods. New battery.
This model has the Sports and Economy selection on the automatic box. Very good on fuel in Economy, very quick in Sports mode...... bit scabby on the wheel arches in a couple of places.

This was my mate's everyday car until a few weeks ago when he bought a new SAAB, it drives beautifully.

Cheap at £600.

It's petrol before you ask, why would anybody want to put a van engine in a car......?

Electric windows, electric sunroof, tow bar, electrically folding rear headrests.....

Central locking 'plipper' isn't working, but I don't lock cars anyway, not needed round here.
Radio/CD too......

Because a van engine will do twice as many miles to the gallon as a petrol one and you will spend most of your time in a traffic jam doing no more than 20 mph anyway and it would be a mercedes van engine so would be great. :coat:

Because then you have the joy of the perpetual smell of chips running on sunflower oil.

Traffic jam round here? Hahahaha.

Consider the price of DERV against petrol and then come back to me with a good argument......

This (petrol) car does 35 to the gallon........ more than my mates Diesel Mondeo on the more expensive (waste product) Diesel.........

........ Or I could tell him that it's a 6 speed box...... he drives it very hard. And it's generally heavily loaded, it's one of those estate cars, like a van but less use......

Diesels ROCK. I will never buy a petrol car again.
Mate's Mk 5 Golf 1.9 diesel, 115 BHP gets over 55 MPG on our regular work commute, has done 145,000 miles, and has had tyres plus an exhaust. NOTHING else!
My Ford Galaxy with the same engine was awesome on the fuel, and carried the six of us in my family, fully loaded boot, roof box, and towing a 950 Kgs folding caravan the 1100 miles to Spain on holiday 3 years running.
I now have a VW Touareg (diesel of course) so I can tow my new twin axle 1.7 metric ton caravan with ease - and it does!!!
Diesel = Massive Torque, low revs power and drivability, economy. There's nothing a petrol engine in a car can do anything like as well...
