| There's a very good chance that it is as it sounds very much like the issue I had with my X1 a few years ago, with the X1 it was a wiring fault from the sensor to the ecm |

...Now on the hunt for a engine temperature sensor, the one that goes in the top of the rear pot.
If anyone knows of one or has one and wants to sell it, then please let me know.

| ... resistors to get the required ~1V going back to the ECU. I ended up with 11k between 12v pin and ecu pin. And then 1k from ecu pin to earth pin. Engine now running closed loop again and no check light. These weren’t the values the Harley boys used but works for me. |

| You can check if the bank angle sensor is at fault by just unplugging it , an X1 will run without it connected but it will put the engine warning light on. |
