utter bollocks to say loud pipes save lives. i run my xb with a stock pipe, no problems as i know how to ride safely. i would rather sneak along nice and quiet, and unnoticed :D
as fo rperformance, a loud pipe may not give much more power if its not designed right

What are you talking about? I fell in a river when I was young and a Kerker White Tip dived in to save me...

sneaking along unnoticed by the old guy whos eyes arnt what they were as he pulls out on you and you go steaming into the side of him !i never mentioned performance , loud pipes save lives if you hear it befor you see it you automaticly look to see what all the noise is ! i ride safe also but have a loud pipe as back up plus i like em loud . in the first place all i was doing was making a point to the guy who pointed at albert 666 calling him empty headed for having a loud pipe , each to thier own.

Filter in commuter traffic and see the car drivers notice you with a loud pipe. On my whisper quiet DRZ they just don't see or hear you. At least with hi vis, headlight and loud pipe you are hoping to at least hit two of their senses rather then one.
