I was lucky enough to win a trackday with Performance bikes mag at Rockingham Raceway, yesterday. The Buell rocks, I'd forgotten how good the dam thing is. I've not ridden it in anger for two years as it is desperately in need of a long period of tlc. Rebore and frame, swinging arm, wheels etc, powder coating.To be frank it has all the visual appearance of a barn find.51 000 miles and counting.But , wow, after an initial slippery couple of sessions the track dried up and then sunny and dry. Mind you it only just passed the sound check 101 decibels, that will be the "essexed " standard exhaust .
