When I put my M2 away in the garage last winter, I noticed that the front exhaust mounting 'shoe' had fractured. It's a Buell race exhaust, where the bracket/shoe is clamped to the header pipe with a stainless band.
I took the bracket off, got it welded back together, and refitted it.

Road the bike yesterday for the first time this year, and noticed when I got back that the band had slipped off the back of the shoe.

Anyone else had this happen? How did you resolve the issue?

Is there a better design of bracket/shoe available? The original is a pretty poor design.

Thanks
