I've gone back to using 06 OEM as there's very little price difference to the Lucky Hands now :?

I’ve wondered what gives over time when using the Lucky Hands gear. I mean if the standard but improved 06 phosphor bronze gear in my XB was shagged after 35k, what will eventually happen to the gear drive it ran against when rubbing against a super hard steel job.......having to replace the main gear shaft? :?

Seen a couple of XB engined tubers on BWB, they looked good and have certain performance attractions. Reading the write ups, they always seem to had no end of trouble in making it work, not sure why as it looks like it should pretty much drop in.

Well I said 'phosphor' but I don't know. I bought the 06 after reading that this gear item was improved over the 05......as well as the gearbox, crank, swingarm......etc, etc.

You're probably correct. Sintering is a process used to make a lot of phosy bronze things.


Well I said 'phosphor' but I don't know. I bought the 06 after reading that this gear item was improved over the 05......as well as the gearbox, crank, swingarm......etc, etc.
