Hello everyone

Great to browse through the forum, looks like a great community. I have an XB12S I bought in 2005 which has been off the road for a few years. All in great nick but needs a service, new fork seals and a few bits as I want to get it back on the road again. Does anyone know a decent mechanic / bike shop who looks after Buell's in London / Surrey? Warr's in the Kings Road a bit pricey! Any recommendations very gratefully received.

All the best

Hi and welcome.
Can recommend Maz, a long way to go but worth it. I understand a visit is an education if you fancy a trip to Manchester. I used a courier to get mine there, this cost is easily clawed back by Maz's low hourly rate (certainly if you were thinking of HD pricing). He's the kind of guy you want to work on your Buell, very knowledgeable and mildly obsessive. Peace of mind is worth the extra effort.

It's probably well worth it if it's black(the fastest) :rotfl:

Hello everways & welcome it could be said i am not the most prolific poster (understatement) but me & my XB9SX also live in London albeit the greater part & at some point i intended to visit Mr Maz so if you ever fancy a meet up let me know as 2 in a van might be cheaper than one, depending on how your getting your bike there if not riding.

Sorry been offline for a bit, so late on replies. The bike's been up with Maz for a few weeks and is on its way back now apparently, all good to go. Stuck in the snow in a van somewhere! Can't wait to have it back next week... although might wait for a thaw before roadtesting it...

Looking forward to seeing the pics and hearing how the 'new' bike is running.

I have been cycling into work this week (in the bus ruts) and my gear and bike are white with dried salt, I will hose it down tomorrow but yes definitely wait for the snow and salt to bugger off, evil stuff.

Who did you use for the transport and what kind of cost did they sting you, if you don't mind me asking?

Cheers
