Hi Guys,

Thinking of some new tyres for the Buell X1, as it is returning to the UK (ridden through Spain to the UK , been in storage in Tenerife for last 7 years - regularly run though) as you guys keep selling them off to our Northern European colleagues before Brexit kicks in!

I did have in mind Michelin Pilot Road 3s but know that they dont have that long tyre life especially on the rear, but they have phenominal grip in wet and dry, I had them on my hornet and swore by them.

But has anyone had them on an X1? Can you recommend them?

Need a front indicator if anyone has one going as well. I think it's standard.

Thanks in advance.

Last road tyres I bought were Continental Road Attack not sure if they still do them but they handled well and got decent milage

PR 3's are the best out there for an X1 and you'll get 10K out of a rear.

Decent mileage, I think I got 1500 miles out of mine, great grip and handling, I was very dissapointed.

PR3's are great.

Do you want good mileage or thrash the tits off it and get the handle bars down. 1st choice for mileage Michelin pr3s you should get near 10k out of them. Handle bars down pirelli diablo super corsa's don't expect big mileage. Your choice.

I liked Conti Road Attacks too. They were like SuperCorsas with proper tread😀 Never got many miles out of them. Just put a set of the new ones on Paula's Monster.

Unless it rains at which point you don't want pirelli super corsa's, (you won't know this Dave) but otherwise I agree they are gods own tyres but again 1500 miles.

Andy I'm just going to ignore that you knob. I know rain makes everything slippery. But it also dirties things. So it's not for me. Wet weather it's the car for me.
