OK folks, it’s that time of year again! It’s only a few weeks until Sproutfest takes place for this year

Date: Saturday 9th December 2017
Venue: The Golden Lion Hotel, Easenhall (near Rugby)

Sproutfest is our Christmas do held at The Golden Lion Hotel in Easenhall (near Rugby), where we pretend to be civilised human beings enjoying a pleasant Christmas meal together but in reality most people just get hideously drunk (you know who you are) & buy stuff they don't need in our Sproutfest auction, which is no bad thing as it raises vital funds for the running of this site.

There is currently 2 Double rooms available at the hotel if you want to join us & stay overnight or you are more than welcome to attend just for the meal (menu to follow)
I'm afraid I need to collect the money for the meal upfront as if we have late no-shows we have to pay for them from ukbeg funds. You can either call the hotel directly & pay, or I can give you a bank account number to pay into. Please PM me for details.

Cost of the rooms is £86 Double/Twin for 2 people, £76 Double for single occupancy
& £66 Single, Bed & Breakfast

Please PM me if you'd like to join us, I'll allocate the available room on a first come, first served basis :-) if the hotel becomes full there is also a couple of other hotels fairly close by (taxi ride)

I hope I’m already booked in, but if not, my flight is booked and I’d hate to waste it!

Quite often around this time I'll PM Alison to get the guest list so I can prepare my Christmas cards to hand round. A lot of Sproutfest goers are really good at this ancient art and, at the risk of coming over all bah humbug, after the initial rosy feeling I often mislay my cards while pissed or, at best, stick them up at home for a few days where the other half doesn't know who the people are or wants to know why someone called Willy is sending me lots of xxxxxx s lOl

To save all the stress and get an even rosier glow I'm going to send a donation to the Northern Ireland Air Ambulance this year instead of sending cards and would ask people not to give me cards and think about doing the same.

Bah humbug :old:

Steve

Adam, can you bring your Air Ambulance collection tin to Sproutfest as I will also donate money instead of giving out cards. Good idea Steve... :yup:
