Hope i got this right but Buell parts are now available for order from any/all HD dealers in the States at least so it looks like they may have arranged the new "vendor" they were looking for! I THINK it may be the people who make the engine isolator mounts but not too sure about that! Still order from Riders though they earned that loyalty! :yup:

Buell parts have always been available from H-D......it's just that most/all dealers (apart from Riders) dont want to know and a lot of parts are NLA because H-D have sold them on to Vintage and again, most dealers cant be arsed to deal with Vintage

......welcome to my world :headbang:

I guess now though it means the 2019 "world ends" deadline is now no longer valid? Its win win for HD they no longer have to make the stuff but still rake in their cut of the profits and now hopefully the "obsolete part" list will get smaller and not bigger?

Tone, I've just had to read your last post several times and still cant believe you seriously buy
into that total bullshit :?
H-D have never made any of that stuff, 2019 has never been valid, some parts for bikes made in 2009 have been NLA for at least the last 2 years.

My understanding is that in the good old USofA only some of the HD dealers signed up to the Buell suppliers thing in 2009 and they were the only ones there that could order the parts. The time limit thing for supplying parts has now come to an end there so now ALL Hd dealers can order the bits again.
Now whether they can get them is another issue lOl

I may be a bit dim here, but Buell parts are Harley parts, a lot of them come in a Harley packet. I should ask Steve at Riders if he signed up to this nonsense...

But now HD have appointed their new vendor they are happy for any dealer to order bits and they will still come in HD bags just the new vendor will be dealing with it all so HD have handed all operations to them if i understand it correctly and i am pretty sure the vendor is the firm who made the isolators when they dried up a while back but as always i could have it wrong!

I'm lost... Vendor?

AFAIK, Riders have been ordering and supplying Buell parts by ordering from HD (who own the parts) since the beginning of TuberTimes.

So i think that may continue and then HD send it to the vendors who do the hard bit and HD get a rake off i am in no way sure though, but think about it if all HD has to do is take orders then they cant lose, as to where the stuff will be made who knows

Maybe Erik has had a word ?......he was virtually in tears when he visited my place and I told him about all the problems getting Buell parts.

I think it was in America where the dealers either signed or didn't Pash , I think in the UK they have always been allowed to order the parts if they wanted to.

I agree with kevmean totally all this is really about i think is now there should be no time when the stuff stops getting made the non available parts now should be available at some point in the future with less or no parts going NLA or obsolete so basically/hopefully it should run just like it did when Buell was still in business! Thats the way i understand it at least? I will contact my yank mates to see if they know any more, shit i hope i got this right! lol :?
