It's on the site. You need to register first then follow your nose. It's free to register.

However, it's a £37 donation to UKBEG's chosen charity. Everyone is a winner that way.

FYI, ECMSpy donations have raised almost £55,000 for Emma's Charity :worthy: :worthy: ....

I eventually found the cost. I don't have a problem with the price or the charity. I used to live very close to Papworth hospital. Unfortunately I can't even get the demo version working. The website isn't created with the thick in mind. I find pc's a pain in the arse at the best of times. And following my nose just makes me fall over.
What dim wits like me want is a page preferably clearly labelled that says.
Download this
Then this
And finally this.
I have downloaded/uploaded mono
I think I have installed the demo.
But when I plugged it into the bike it failed to read the connection and asked if I had installed something else.
:(
Can anyone provide me with an idiots guide to doing it.

Are you using a cable or Bluetooth?

Assuming you are using an FTDI cable, install this driver

I'm using a cable.
This is the message I get when I connect to the bike:
EEPROM database file not found
ECM typeBUEKA
please visit www.ecmspy.com to activate. Etc....

When I click close it asks if I want to fetch the zEeprom from an unsupported ECM and save it to the file

So you know it's a BUEKA database you need...

Why can't I get the demo to work without the database. I have to pay for the software to download the database and I'm not convinced it's going to work, which if I've paid for it I'm going to be pretty p......d

According to the ECMSpy sight the demo version allows you to read, display and clear error codes etc.
I can't do anything, so how is that working?

It connects and it identifies your ECM, I would say that works. I could delete all my databases and see what you can and can't do but at the moment you seem to be shooting the messenger.

If I was in your position I would make the donation and get the database, it will work. Just think of the help your donation will be giving.

I'm not sure why other people aren't chiming in.

Sorry Pash, I don't mean to shoot the messenger as you put it but sometimes when someone knows what they are talking about they don't always give the info that the unkowledgeabke need.
I will get the database and hope that it works.
Cheers
