You beat me to it. 4th on 2 wheels and 16th overall. Damn awesome for running in the "exhibition class." Even more impressive because it's an air cooled 2V lump by Buell whose 2 big cylinders are gasping for air. I'll tell you, large displacement twins are the only way to go up there. A whole dynasty of Ducs and now KTMs prove it year after year.
I've had an X1 up there before it was fully paved and it actually did just as well my I-4 Z1000SX a couple years ago. The only thing that had a harder time breathing up there was me. I was sucking wind just walking around leisurely.
Here's the winner's onboard video of his record run. Video just doesn't convey how treacherous the drop offs are nor the lack of grip as the road is pretty damn cold even in direct sun.
