It's not the original one. That's the problem. Some t--t nicked the original with the help of a crowbar.

Have a look at the Motobatt batteries.

Is it worth paying for a lithium battery

If you get a Lithium battery, make sure it is a quality one with inbuilt balancing facility. Without this, they have been known to over heat. If you let them discharge too much, the dedicated charger won't recognise them as a battery, so 10 mins on a lead/acid charger will revive them enough to allow the dedicated charger to work. I rearranged the relays etc in my 1125 (track use only now) so I can use the battery out of my X1 (terminals are the opposite way around). I fitted a Shorai to my Ducati 1198 to crank it over quickly in order to protect the sprag clutch, but my 1125 spins over fine with a normal (much cheaper) battery.

Thanks for that. I've been quoted £242.00 for a shorai. What's a cheaper alternative.

Try this.http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_odkw= ... 5&_sacat=0 I've got one on my xb and speed triple as well. They spin up quicker than the lead acid batteries that were on them

With the Shorai, it's supposed to help if you turn your ignition on while you put your helmet, gloves etc on, and then fire it up. The battery likes to be warmed a bit, but it's never an issue.
