Not sure what I can and can't say on here, but I have a shop that sells Suzuki parts. There is a Suzuki switch that fits my XB12SS 2009. Pattern ones are cheap, but not as good as the genuine Suzuki. The genuine Suzuki part has a little rubber bellows around the switch prong, like the Buell part. The pattern doesn't, so I guess it will fail earlier.
I have test fitted the pattern part and it fits and works.
Let me know if I can give you more information without breaking forum rules.

I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem for such a small item,I don't know the rules though.

If you Google 57460-17C00, then I should be the second listing - Discountbikespares.

I would recommend the genuine one, but if you want the pattern one, let me know. I will sell you the one I have test fitted for £4, including post. Contact me through my website.

If I have broken any forum rules - sorry!

Use WD40 and spray it into the small hole under the switch, then take the brake 50 times.
In this way it grinds the contact free....
In 99% this solves the problem !
