 Post subject: Tuber Side Stand Switch

Location: Wales. The land of dragons, welshcakes and full reservoirs.
I realise the normal practice is to bypass the side stand switch when it becomes faulty. I note that original replacements are silly money. Has anyone ever managed to successfully install a non- standard replacement?
