This will be UKBEG's 13th Cabin Fever meet held at the National Motorcycle Museum, Solihull.

Location details: here

Escape the seasonal festivities/wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend/kids/in-laws/distant relatives/mind-numbing TV (delete as appropriate) and come along to this informal Buell meet which closes UKBEG's 2016 events season.

The meet starts at 11.00 to 11.30 am and most of us have lunch in the self-service restaurant.

There's no charge for parking or for entrance to the museums shop and restaurant. If you wish to visit the museums superb collection of British motorcycles it will cost £8.95 for adults, £6.95 for OAP's and £6.95 for children, 5 to 16 years.

Come on a motorcycle, or in a car, all makes and types are welcome.

When you arrive keep turning left as you enter the car park complex and you'll find us near the main entrance to the museum building.

The National Motorcycle Museum is located on Junction 6 of the M42 (A45) directly opposite the NEC. Directions and a rather nifty interactive map can be found here

Nick, it's alright for some, enjoy the warmth.

It isn't a two-wheel friendly forecast for tomorrow so we'll probably be in the car. We have 110 miles to travel to Solihull and fog/mist with a high of 2 or 3 degrees doesn't seem very appealing.

Have heater and fab tunes, will travel :D....

A bit of local drama this morning, a water main has burst right outside our house and the road is flooded. The police have stopped all traffic until the burst is stopped and the road is treated because of black ice. We can't go anywhere until they reopen the road ....

If we can't get down to Solihull in time for the meet please accept our apologies.

We're not going to be able to set off in time :headbang:..Tony, a snorkel might come in handy :D....

Before they closed the road a motorcyclist and a cyclist had both come off on the black ice. Thankfully both were uninjured. The annoying thing is I reported the burst to both the police and Yorkshire Water at 6.45am and it wasn't until half an hour later someone turned up to look at it. Not exactly a rapid response.

We're quite prepared to travel down to Solihull on Saturday and hold a New Years Eve 'Cabin Fever Part Two' if there's enough interest. We'll see what the response is.

Ah!!! I thought it was a bit devoid of people. We've had breakfast and so we'll hang around for s bit before heading south.
