Hi everyone, on the way home today my bike decided to run like pants after a good steady 70/80 mph on the M20. Got the little beauty home and stuck it on the Ecmdroid to find the AFV up at 147%. If that's the case I would guess it has a developed an air leak. Am I on the right lines in your books? Oh yes the fault codes read rear o2 lean. Guess that points in the same direction as there is no o2 sensor on the front pot??
Anything to go for first other than the intake seals?

Cheers Maz, I will take a look. It does sound a little lazy, slower than the one on the other bike. It does tent to miss on the back pot when you first start it up. The front pipe heats up quicker than the back one. It has new plugs etc. When you are at constant rpm, like 3500 ish it runs ok then dies until you give it a bit more, then it picks back up until you leave it at the same rpm. It is certainly down on power though. Thanks for the quick reply.

Update on the AFV at 147.
So having taken on board the advice from earlier in this post, I took the bike into the warm of the wife's summerhouse and hung it up so as to get the back end to bits. The fuel pump wasn't sounding the same as usual, and when I had extracted it carefully so as not to scratch the swing arm, all was a little clearer. Yes the fuel pressure was well down due to the Walbro pump sucking in the plastic inner of the pre-pump filter. Had a good hunt around and got a new pump, didn't go for a cheaper one. It now works well, squirts well, and the bike flashed up happy as. While I was finishing off, I rerouted some bits including the chaffed ETS sensor wire which I have "repaired" until the new one comes.
The bikes back to being a happy bike, I'm back to being on two wheels when its not raining.

Thanks guys, I've only been into the Buells for a short while compared to some. I saw an Scg in Sardinia in 2014 and decided it was my type of thing. My wife speaks the lingo, so she did the talking and I did the dribbling out side a restaurant about 11 at night. It was also adorned with a leather clad Sardinian Mafioso girl :hehe: I had an R1 at the time which was sold when we got back to the UK, tress rapids. I actually am a bit of a mad inventor and could see where Erik was going with this for something that handles and stops.
The one thing that I have noticed on the sites is that everyone asks for the answer to their issue then you hear little more. Its a bit like chewing a toffee with the wrapper on, you never get to the juicy bit. I like to think that if the end result is that it works from what I did, others may find it useful. Its also excellent to have the "Encyclopedia of Knowledge" on here that's on the shoulders of those that reply like Maz, Pash (who likes cake), Dave H, and not to mention Mr Nutah.
I hope that you all have a good one. I'll have the window wound down waving at the UK from 35,000 feet by 23:00 on the 23rd now the baggage handlers have got their Christmas box !

Oh yeah Graeme, there's nothing wrong with carbotooters. Lots of the street racers in Itally and the likes run them on the engines gained on the "unknown long term loan basis" with Webers and similar. Tear around the place sounding like the days of BDA Mexico's. It gets around the disabling stuff from the ecu. :hehe: :hehe: :hehe:

take on board your comments about people not coming back with resolutions/ lessons learnt, i'm as guilty as anyone - new years resolution.
Very much a carburetor kind of guy, fuel injection is the work of the Devil (or the EU). :D
