That's a novelty. Att's problems with this website traditionally occur AFTER he's logged in lOl

I think he's currently eloped to Scotland with Magz lOl

Yup, just had the disagreeable wee bastart, his wife and the gorgeous Rasmus up for a few days. He cannae get onto UKBEG and his account has been binned from FB. He does indeed still have his STT and is planning on riding it too EK for the day.

All being well with my work, we are hoping to bring the SX and the X1.

If Steve or Simon aren't bringing their S2T's, I could always chuck mine in the back of the van.....and if you're still short of a Blast, I could bring that too......all assuming the aviation centre still allow dogs on site ?

......and just to be pedantic/controversial, can Nicks 'X1' still be called or recognised as an X1 anymore ? :?

Not many true X1s about now as they all have the k&n air filters not original and extras like oil coolers, non original twin front discs, carbon bling etc. I'm sure Erik will have seen many an original X1 but to see one different from the rest that is used regularly would be refreshing change.

No offence intended Nick and I could be wrong ? but I assumed that CJ was putting together a display of models produced by the factory over it's history.
I'm sure it would be very difficult to find any completely standard bikes as we all like to address compromises the factory took due to budget restrictions......brakes, suspension, etc. but surely any bike displayed should at least retain the correct factory colour scheme and in the case of an X1 the most distinguishing feature which was its unique cast aluminium seat subframe.
I'm sure that if CJ was to set up a custom Buell section for bikes 'based on' then yours would be very well received but IMO it bears absolutely no resembalance to the bike Erik originally designed.

Dave/Maz, if you could meet the set-up deadline of 9.30am on the day (or better still, get them over on the Sunday) we'd love to have your S1 and S2T on the stand. The LAHC proudly boasts that it's a 'dog friendly attraction' so no problems there.

The idea behind the display, which was Jane's :4roz:, is to show the history of Buell/EBR as best as we can in this country. We're not looking for bog standard, customised versions which are still recognisable as the base model are OK with us.

Chris, pencil me in for the XB12X. Will just have to sort out the logistics of getting there before 9.30 on the Monday.
