99% percent of the time my shifts are perfect no clunking or banging...I'm an ex racer so used to it ...but every now and again I get it wrong as we all do )). Just noticed my primary chain was as tight as Buggery so that might be something to do with it also ....I run a thumb brake already and I have a fast action throttke on the left with the cables the other way round and it works beautifully ...I'm going to try to get the auto clutch operating on the lever as it should during clutch changes on Saturday when I fit my new drive belt as a few of us guys down here are doing a run to take teddies to the local children's ward for Xmas on a Sunday ride out and I'll let u know if we cure it...my other option is junk the auto clutch completely and go back to standard but then I need a new clutch basket as they welded mine up ...I'll add a few pics of my setup later so u can see how it's done cheers for everything wobb

I'm sure I'll find a way round it ...was hoping a quick shift would be a easy fix ...maybe I need to keep the buell for a gentle Sunday ride bike and get a jap to thrash around on ...the thing is I know the technology of the motor etc isn't cutting edge but for a 13 year old bike this thing really feels like it wants to play and every time I look At it or hear it running I feel like a teenager in love ...all my mates think I need councilling btw .....funnily tho when ever we go anywhere no one takes interest in their gsxrs etc ...always the buell people like )))

Wobbly ,keep the buell and make it working better every time!
It makes you happy ,so why bother to ride a other bike if that doesn't do it for you!?

And if something breaks ,there is always a solution for it ,but i guess you know that already better as we do!

Just ask it on this forum ,the people here will help with almost everything!

I love this bit "...but every now and again I get it wrong as we all do ))." from Mr Wobbly. I get it wrong more times than right. His odds are good. We have an ex Marine on one of the boats with one leg. Excellent bloke and they tried to put up the insurance cover because of it. When the agent spoke to him he told them that he could "fall over the side as well as any body but could they do his job after being blown up and only having one leg left", needless to say we kept him ! Would like to see the bike sometime. Excellent post, Cheers

He has an 'automatic' clutch for moving off... ...he only wants a manual clutch for gear changes on the move, so actually, that idea could work

Finally sorted the clutch ...just very fickle adjustments to get it right )). So should have a reliable unit now 599 miles on and still ok ) I will add some pics of the modified clutch ...it is a thing of beauty )
