As Ray has intimated above, interest in this event from the wider motorcycling community has been massive. If you can plan ahead and you require accommodation for the weekend we would advise you to book something ASAP.

See this topic for details of what's available in the East Kirkby area: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=21892

We are combining WSB at Donington Park and Em's day in one trip, so we have booked a Premier Inn hotel for two nights in Derby (Friday and Saturday) and two nights in a Premier Inn in Grantham (Sunday and Monday) so we can travel up on the bikes and not worry about camping. Good prices too because booked early :yup: :4roz: :sun:

We hope to have a Ronin :P at Em's Day 2017, it will be on show in a Buell/EBR 'specials' display area that we're putting together.

If you don't know what a Ronin is check out this excellent feature on Jay Leno's website: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_-YBwKKgtc

The notice for the Spring Bank Holiday weekend event now appears on the LAHC website: http://www.lincsaviation.co.uk/events/S ... chines.htm

Em's Day features prominently ....

Planning for Em’s Day 2017 is going very nicely :P ……

We have 13 ‘Em’s Days’ at the LAHC under our belts but the 14th edition is going to be the biggest event we’ve ever attempted. We’ll post regular updates as we gradually tick things off our ‘to do’ list.

For the UKBEG stand/display in the main hanger and the motorcycle entrance gate we’ve designed an additional EBR banner to commemorate the visit of Erik Buell. These will be displayed alongside our usual selection of Buell banners. We want to put on the best show possible.

The banners are 76cm x 122cm (30” x 48”) and we’ve bought 2 indoor and 1 outdoor versions. The 2 freestanding indoor banners will be signed by Erik Buell and 1 of them will be auctioned off for Em’s Charity at the end of Erik’s talk, which will take place at some time in the afternoon.

Julie and I are booked into the Admiral Rodney in Horncastle on the Sunday night.

Is there a plan for a meet up in the afternoon and/or the evening on the Sunday?

Jez, we're glad you've got somewhere booked.

Regarding Sunday 28th, I think Vicki (Flossy) is organising something based at the 'East Kirkby Hideaway' camp site next to the Aviation Centre. It might be worth contacting her via a PM.

Hopefully Flossy will post up the details up here (unless I have missed them)...

Nick, no details have appeared on this website, unless I've also missed them :oooops:....

I've sent a PM to Vicki so we'll see what information she comes back with. We've received enquiries from mainland Europe about what else is happening on the Bank Holiday weekend prior to Em's Day on Monday.

We are combining our trip to East Kirkby with a weekend at WSB at Donington Park. We are staying at a Premier Inn for two nights in Derby on Friday and Saturday then travelling up on Sunday to Grantham for two nights. This was the best way we could arrive on bikes and not have to carry camping gear.! :yup:
