A bit chilly around the edges today but we've had a great ride out to the NEC show. We saw lots of tasty twins, met a few friends and my Guzzi 1100 'rolled' over 80,000 miles :P.....not quite in Barney's league (113,469) yet but I'm getting there.

We stuck our first A4 flyer for Em's Day 2017 on an unsuspecting 1125R in the bike park.

Congrats on the 80k very impressive. Thanks for the photos, I must get up to this show one day. Interesting exhaust on the 1125, I bet the passenger has a nice warm right foot

Glad that I never went now that I've seen that "Do not sit on this bike" placard on the Beemer. Saved myself £100. ;)

Shame about that, the rest of the BMW's were accessible. The R-nineT range, in all their variants, do look appealing. Clean, simple designs and they look a quality product.

My Guzzi has only required routine servicing during its 80,000 miles. It has proved to be remarkably reliable and the finish has held up very well, especially the engine paint. Far superior to the Ulysses in this respect. Fuel economy on the Guzzi isn't too good, average is around 43mpg but the Buells will easily manage 55 to 60mpg.

In addition to routine parts like tyres, oils etc. the Guzzi had a new battery at 71,000/10 years and a new rear brake disc at 75,000.
