Come to the Strand in Rye and grab a bag of chips sometime, its lonely down here, all there are is Wee Hem Bobbleues, Aprilliarse, and Hammerya R1's as far as the eye can see. PM me when you can get down and meet up. :yup:

Just adding to what "Matron" said, we may be nutters but a few years ago some bloke built a wall to try and keep out the wild people wearing woolly skirts and ill fitting fury coats. Another effort was made into a film starring a Yank called Mel Gibson, when they continued to harass England for independence. Now were being called "Nutters".

Thought Mel Gibson was an Aussie !!

Where near Maidstone are you ? I live near Rochester so only 10 miles or so away . fancy meeting up , Quite often go down to Rye so could meet up with others down there .

But not at the moment as just getting over knee surgery - ironically I've torn my cartilage at work dragging a safety mat with my heel ! while they were doing it they scraped out some arthritus , so now off work for 3 weeks , better get used to daytime tv for a while . Ho Hum! :sad1:

Hi Jeff, not too good with the old leg bit, hope it sorts itself out quickly. Where about's are you and are you mobile at all ? Be good to meet up sometime, I'm up your way quite a bit as the boats work up in Chatham and the Thames. Cheers John

Little known fact that upsets the Scots, is William Wallace was actually from a Welsh family from the Oswestry area, who moved to Scotland with some Norman nobility. The name Walace is a derivation of 'Le Wallais' - the Welshman. I think his family moved there with the Fitzallens who were Norman knights, sent to keep the Scots under control lOl
