Hi All

New 2006 X model Ulysses owner down in Cornwall. I'd lusted after a Lightning since seeing them at an NEC show in 2003, I still have some of the promotional goodies from the stand. :) I couldn't afford a new one at that time but always admired the style and tech of the Buells.

Recently I needed a new machine to replace my Triumph Daytona 955i as my daily ride, I couldn't bring myself to buy a full-on tourer so the Uly with touring kit fitted the bill and fulfilled a long held wish. :)

This bike is bog standard apart from a higher screen and having the top box and panniers fitted. I don't intend to do too much to this bike although I'd like to have the power delivery sorted out a little, as there is a rough(ish) spot in midrange. I may well take it for a trip up-country to Maz to have the recommended mods carried out, or at least to get the bits to do it.

Anyhoo, nice to be here and thanks for all the useful info for new owners.

Pete

Greetings from Sussex. I don't know where you are down there, I used to live in Newlyn, so there's at least one person on the site that will be able to understand you !!! :rotfl:
