I'm booked on the 8:00 train with five friends, was planning weekend in France. However due to the fuel strike we may well end up going to Belgium. Would it be a liberty if we visited the bash? If its not what's the venue's location ?. Promise we won't outstay our welcome.

Ii's a bit hard to find, your best bet is to meet up with us in Cassel France in the centre. Ride up the hill into town and park your bikes behind the roped posts on the left. Walk up the steps to the terrace in front of the cafe's...I and others will be there lunch time...you may as well avoid motorway as you have plenty of time. 079 1313 5533.

For any of you using satnav these are the coordinates for the BBQ 50.80091 , 3.207133 ;) 8-) (This is the farm) 8-)
I'm sure you will all be made welcome whatever bikes you arrive on , the Belgian guys are fantastic hosts. 8-)

But like Richie says we normally all meet up in Cassel first for a coffee and bite to eat at lunchtime 8-)

I have been hoping to get to this but not made any arrangements due to unexpected work commitments, then find that it looks like #2 daughter is completing on her flat in London this weekend with 'lastminute.com solicitors' and that is where I'll have to be. Fun trying to hire a van this weekend too :headbang:
Have a safe trip and have fun all. :yup:

Well it was another fantastic weekend hosted by our Belgian friends from Twinpower 8-) the lowest UK turnout we have ever had since we started going in 2008 with just 4 of us meeting up in Cassel last Saturday lunchtime. Marnix, Kurt and company rode to meet up with us and then gave us another fantastic escorted ride back to Lauwe with another history lesson thrown in at hill 60 . The evening was another great night with lots of cheap beer and some more fantastic food but above all some amazing company 8-) I posted a few photos on facebook but unfortunately my phone for some reason keeps deleting all it's pictures so if not uploaded straight away they tend to disappear for ever. Our Belgian friends really do enjoy the UkBeg contingent going to this so they are going to try and sort a better date next year with a lot more notice for us all 8-) , Out of the 4 of us myself and Ronnie went off to Germany after the party , Dave went off to Luxembourg with only Richie returning home.

Kev, glad both of you are back safe, did you manage to miss the worst of the weather?

It wasn't too bad Chris 8-) Saturday in Lauwe was a gorgeous day and was still dry when we left there late morning on Sunday, it started to rain when we got near Brussels and rained all the way to Spa but was dry then for the rest of the journey. The Monday was very damp but we didn't go far and stocked up the appartment with food for the week. Tuesday we had a ride around the eifel on dry roads and had a couple of close calls with young deer running across the road ( the closest was in the dark) as we'd been into the Netherlands for tea and got back to our appartment about 10-30pm. Wed was a bit damp at times but we had a day down the Mossel valley so still a great day out. Thursday was dry all day and then thunderstorms after tea and Fri was dry but a bit misty all the way back to the Ferry :D
So a very enjoyable week and a fantastic appartment at a very good price 8-)
