Finally got sorted and booked our crossings tonight , we are spending the week after B-day in Europe' we tried booking Hull to Zeebrugge ferries a while ago and it said there were non available to get home the following Fri night so we were all set to book ferry out and Tunnel back. Fortunately rechecked tonight and now there is no problem getting a ferry back on Fri 3rd June so we will be doing that rather than the 240 mile drive down to the tunnel, it also saves me taking a days holiday on the Fri at the start of our holiday. We plan on riding from the ferry down to Cassel to meet up with the rest of the reprobates on the Sat lunchtime 8-)

So are Kev and Ronnie the only UK folk going this year? I was toying with going to meet our Dutch friends for a change this year but as it's only a couple of weeks to go and no hordes of Brits queuing to attend then I'm leaning towards Lauwe again. Who else is up for it?

Steve

I was toying with the Dutch meet as well. I looked to book Lauwe, but the trains appear to be all full for a decent crossing time, because it's a Bank Holiday, I assume. :headbang:
Nothing booked yet for either.

You're not wrong, Mick. I suppose we could always stop in a hotel local to the tunnel on Friday, get the 0650 then do our own Flanders tour en route to Cassell. I'll see if I can get the day off in the next day or two.

Steve

I'll be there Kev. I will probably go through the tunnel on Friday and stopover with Sue & Paul at www.lesballastieres.com then meet up with fellow Buelligans in Cassel Sat lunchtime. I'm going down to Luxembourg for a few days after the Lauwe bash here www.high-chapparal.com

I know it's a bit radical but have you thought about using the ferry from Dover. That's what we did last year when we were forced to go in the car. You get to have a sit down and a coffee as well :D

Wot run ferries across the channel? It'll never catch on. You might be able to bring a pillion back too. http://youtu.be/P_GHJwRuj4Q
