The problem is, you pay for the day, but if your bike doesn't pass the noise test, then you don't ride - and I don't think you get your money back. The only safe way, is to visit a track with your bike and ask for a noise test, which they are always glad to do. It really doesn't matter what your noise meter says, it's the one at the track that matters ;)
The only place I've not been noise tested, is at Anglesey, and that's because there's nowt around there for miles lOl - and it's probably one of the loveliest tracks in the Country.

............and buy some quality leathers, the NHS ain't wot it used to be ;) lOl
The thought of crashing in fabrics (of any kind) makes me shudder, not just for impact protection, leather slides more easily and you may not tumble as much ;)

The hydration point is really important never realised until I started doing off road days and they had a chart in the toilets. Everytime I had a poor session and had a pee afterwards I was in the warning zone so to speak, keeping hydrated and that was when the fast times were being posted. You just don't realise how much your body is needing to work at peak performance.

Maybe put some proper tyres (sp?) on the bike ?!

Thats a Bandler quote if I'm not mistaken

if it is, it's unintentional, English is not my mothers tongue :oooops:

When possible you could book a trackday with some instruction; tracklayout, braking and cornering etc.
Otherwise it can be a bit overwhelming, and going with a mate helps too.

This is why high altitude climbing is so fekin dangerous. You're continually working extremely hard with an oxygen, fluid and calorie deficit, and effectively dying rather quickly.
The time slot for summiting is rather short, the Greater Ranges are littered with bodies of people who sit down for a rest - and never get up again

But Cadwell does have a noise limit and wouldn't let Muffin on the track ;)

Target fixation can be a problem if there's women out there too. Some arses can look mighty nice in those leathers. Easy to focus on what you shouldn't. Just be sure you're in front of them ;) .

It certainly is a lovely arse in those leathers (considering she's got a big pair of bollocks to tuck in there as well 8-) :yup: )

Ignore all the advice. Buy an end of sale one piece suit, ride your bike to the nearest track (they're all good first time), on standard tyres and have fun. You won't be the fastest but if you enjoy it listen to the advice given above to improve your enjoyment/performance. First time is a taster, no need to overthink it.

Just spoken the the exhaust man....said the reverso on the bike with the baffle may JUST scrap by at 102 db ! Which is borderline pass to go on the track. Im a little worried that i would drive there and not be able to ride. And closer to 108db without it !
