The video doesn't do it justice! it was SCARY LOUD :uhoh:

Cheers Albert top job :worthy:

I even got some tig welding tips :yup:

To make it even better it's a convertable system,5 minutes and it's got one of Albert's very nice, light silencers. Makes the torque hammer feel like it's made of lead, but about the same sound level.

Wish I'd had this lot a couple of months ago, less weight, less restriction and more ground clearance.

Thought I'd put some more pics up to show Albert's fine handywork. He trimmed the connector pipes to get it as tight to the motor as possible,I want to be able to get the bike as low as possible for racing but there is a 50mm minimum ground clearance.A side winder would make the sidestand the lowest point, this system is only 3/4" below the sidestand.Good enough for me! Cheers Albert. :worthy:

Out of interest, what size tungsten did you use, how many Amps and how many L/Min, did you use for that? I presume the red 2% Thoriated tungstens were used - or something else?

........and while I'm picking your brains, do you bother with balling, or blunting your tips for ally?
The reason I ask is that I treated myself to a AC/DC Tig for xmas :D

I've been making a trackday baffle on the 1125 for my Tubbs pipe and have got the gas flow down to about 6 L/Min to keep the arc stable, but find some blackening in the beads - from oxidisation I presume :?

blunt point on zirconated tungten for ally, let it ball up itself

I bought a couple of gas lenses last week, so I'll try them tonight 8-) Is it ok to stick the tungsten out a little more when a lens is fitted ?

Cheers :yup: 8-)

Alan, you were so right. Just used a 5/16 lens with 1mm filler and 1.6 tungsten. It worked a treat lOl

Nope, 316L rod.
