 Post subject: new drive belt

hi all,just put a new drive belt on my 04xb9city,got a f/s tensioner on and the spring has bottomed out,just wondering if belt will give a bit too get spring operation back.have got right belt 128 teeeth and standard pullys.f/s tensionerwas ok till i put on new belt.thanks pat.

They all do that sir.......I sometimes cut a couple of mm off the end off the 'rose' joint thread.
It will bed in fairly quickly, so dont panic too much.

I've had to tighten the adjustment on my FS as the belt was slipping on fast acceleration. :o
Done 15,000 miles so it's well stretched.
Adrenalin Moto suggested a new spring should be fitted.
Christmas shopping. :)
