Is it just me, or just my bike, or is every Buell speedo illegible? White digits on a light silver back ground does make not for easy reading, especially yesterday afternoon, hooning back from Hampshire in the pissing rain.

Is there an easy fix (new speedo face?) or do I just stick coloured dots on the speedo glass?

F*cking designers/stylists. Do they ever actually ride bikes? Grrrrrrrrrrrr! :headbang:

Sorry, I should have said it's an XB12 Lightning.

I'll investigate those links, thanks.

My Buell's fine in daytime - Black digits/white face and red needle. Less use at night though as the needle is unlit.

Still it's not just Buell. My R3 instruments needles actually disappear at night. They're designed to fluoresce - so they backlit with out any UV/blue component. I'd love to find the berk that designed them.

So bad I've added a small GPS driven digital speedo for "fine avoidance" at night to the R3. May do similar to the Buell.

The BEST instruments I've seen (and I modified a set to fit my Guzzi) are Smiths Prism.
