Do people still get frames Stove Enamelled, or is Powder Coating the way forward?

We have them powder coated, any colour, 24 hour turn round, £40.

Sounds very reasonable Spen. Do they do shot blasting as well?

Yes...... Batchglow at Dinnington, just over the border from me.

Bastid! You beat me to it!

I'm sooo jealous of your trumpie... but one thing I would personally do is to ditch the sporty tank. I don't think it suits the triumph chops very much. The lines don't flow well enuf. Whereas with the roundish tanks they look so much better. But, at the end of the day its your bike and your taste so you can stick a dildo on there if you want! :hehe:

I'll be following this one closely!

OK, Winter is on it's way and there's work to be done.
Following Robin's excellent Cyclone thread, I thought that I'd take a peek into the depths of my garage and see what sort of state my old Triumph Speed Twin is in.

Yeah, but only by 25 years......... lOl

I agree about the tank, I'd prefer something that runs parallel to the lower frame tube, but this is still gonna be a budget build, so unless I can find a suitable Triumph or maybe Wassel peanut tank cheap enough, it may have to go back on.

I machined an old puller today, so I got the inner chaincase off and the gearbox out.

I made the headsteady out of stainless so that will polish up ok. The plate on the lower tube held the solid state 12volt converter. I'll be grinding this off.

Is this how it looked originally? It would *really* cool if you can find a pair of girders. I've been looking into that as well, but I prefer the shape of the Indian Chief/Vincent Girders. And you have a PM btw so respond you bastid!!

The bike you posted up Mich looks like a T100 cica 1958. The little brother of my old T110 that I had when I was 18 :D
